Who we are...

Cascade Park Baptist Church is part of the North American Baptist Conference of over 400 churches with more than 74,000 worshipers in the United Stated and Canada.  Founded by an immigrant missionary, North American Baptist are a diverse group of believers representing many cultures and languages.

Cascade Park Baptist Church began in April 1981 through the vision of the North American Baptist Conference.  Rev. Don Ganstrom was called to begin the new work.  Through his efforts, a nucleus was formed and a Bible study began.  In February, 1982, Pastor Phil Yntema and his family were called to be the pastor of the church.  In September 1985 the church sanctuary and adjoining classrooms were completed. In 1986 a Director of Student Ministries was added to the staff and in October 1987 a Director of Music Ministries.

Because of the tremendous growth experienced throughout the Sunday School, a new Christian Education facility was built and dedicated in May 1988.  In August of that year an Associate Pastor was added to the staff and in October 1989 a Pastor of Youth & Single Adults was added.

Who we are

Our mission is to make a difference by loving God, loving others and multiplying disciples of Jesus Christ.

In the book of Acts, we see the early church living by values based on their relationship with Christ. Although these values manifest differently according to specific times and culture, their general applications are not bound by history or geography. The following five core values attempt to summarize Kingdom priorities that will always yield new life and blessing to people who purpose to live in and through them.

Know God through Scripture and prayer.

Grow to be like Christ through worship and obedience.

Connect with one another in fellowship and small groups.

Care for others with our time, talents, and treasure.

Reach the lost through compassion and evangelism.
