Community Groups

What is a Community Group?

A community group is a gathering of people from the church that get together during the week to share life and grow in their faith.

Why are Community Groups important?

Community Groups are the place where the seeds of the preached Word take root and grow. It is the place where we build relationships with one another and live life together. It is also the place where we can participate in the work that God has called us to as a church.

Why is the emphasis on "community" and not growth or care?

"Community" emphasizes the importance of relationships within the group as well as our desire to reach the people around us for Jesus.

How often do Community Groups meet?

Groups meet weekly or bi-weekly.

What does a typical Community Group gathering look like?

A typical gathering involves food, conversation, prayer, discussion on applying the Bible, and service in the neighborhood. Each group will follow the Sunday sermon series. But they are much more than a Bible study. They are community, a place where we can laugh, cry, work and play together for the glory of Jesus. This means you can expect BBQ's, yard work for an elderly neighbor, visiting people in the hospital, birthday parties, etc.

How long will my Community Group last?

That's decided by each group.

If you are interested in leading a group or learning to lead a group, please contact the church office.
